Food handlers, when not strictly following hygiene rules, is a great source of germs that cause food poisoning. All food establishment shall include medical considerations to ensure that the health of food handlers does not pose a risk of contamination that may lead to food poisoning.
Staff must be checked and vaccinated for contagious diseases like Hepatis A or Typhoid and vaccinated as required. Food handlers must also report illnesses to their superior to decide whether it is for RESTRICTION or EXCLUSION.
